Jun. 3rd, 2006 12:26 amGah for Vodafone delivering me text messages late. There's me, sitting at work, worrying about my
doribore because a couple of text messages had arrived, one asking me to phone her, and me being unable to do so. When I did phone her, she wasn't in, and when the call was returned, I was greeted with a "so, what did you phone for?"! Turns out, the text messages were from a few days ago! Oh well.
Still, cat to vet tomorrow morning for overnight boarding since I'm out most of the weekend, although to be honest, he's actually almost back to normal - save for the stitches in his stomach, and if he's very lucky he may get to back outside next week. After that, cricket! Yay! The weather has held, and the pitch may not be a sinking bog! I can but hope. Now, do I remember how to play cricket? Judging by the season so far - nope.
No visit from my scuttling friend this evening, which is a good thing, and also on the plus side in the loft, I'm now the proud owner of a light up there having gotten myself an inspection lamp and something that was marked down as "Bulb" on the receipt. It's the funniest looking bulb I've ever seen. It looks more like an extension cable to me, you know, one of those things that plugs into a plug socket and supplies you with another plug socket, oooh, say 4 metres away....... :-)
