I swear, I'm turning into my father day by day. Everytime I look at something to buy, my first reaction is "how much does it cost", and then that pursing of lips and inward whistle thing. It's probably a good trait that'll mean that we can have our holiday to the states in August. Also, it means that I am keener to get stuff fixed that I can do, rather than buying new, getting someone in to fix as that costs extra.

On that note - bikes. Someone out there in LJ-land must know the answer to this. I have a mountain bike, that has front brakes. When I fixed the inner-tube on said bike, I managed to get the brakes squew-wiff. I managed to fix that, but now up on the handlebars, on the bit where you pull to make the brakes come on, there is the tube that the brake wire is inside. Normally, this tube goes into the grip of the handlebar and doesn't move when you pull the brake handle. However, I've managed to get this tube for fall out of the handlebar, and I can't work out how to get it back in again. Any ideas anyone? coz at the moment, this is rather stopping the brakes from working properly, which is not a good idea for a bike that might just want to be ridden somewhere......

Also, finding it difficult to get tired in the evening, until around midnight, maybe later. This leads for sleepy mornings, and also going to bed in the dark as beloved turns in around 10:30-11..... this is annoying.

Ginger Hobbit knows a lot about bikes, he may be able to help.
