One thing I forgot to mention about our trip - On the tuesday morning, we left our hotel and stepped out into the light drizzle that was covering Brussels, meaning to find a taxi as we didn't know where we were going (no map, no real sense of direction in a new place). We started walking towards a main looking road, and saw 1 taxi - going the other way on a road we couldn't hail it from. We turned a corner, and started walking down a long, gentle slope as it looked more populated and more like a taxi. Near the bottom, we were able to hail a cab and got in it. We told him where we wanted to go, and two blocks later, we go out of the cab at our destination. I think the fare was one or two ticks above the minimum fare!
