May. 9th, 2007 04:45 pm"Good afternoon. There will be a presentation at 4:30 in Support"....
I like my work. At 4:30, everyone in the building descends upon the support area and starts gawping at me. Then my boss comes out, wishes me good luck, and hands me the proceeds of the whip-round (bottle of champagne, couple of cards, and some change by the looks of things). However, I then get put on the spot to say a few words. What exactly are you supposed to say in this situation? I managed:
"Thanks very much everyone. See you next week"
(I'm off work till next wednesday).
What exactly are you supposed to say?
