Apr. 10th, 2006 10:59 amWell, that was the show week, and it was fantastic fun. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed the show, and every performance left me with the distinct taste that "I wish I had a bigger solo part!". Getting up on the box, in front of the whole cast and the audience, singing my song, doing a silly dance, and then getting a rousing round of applause afterwards was .... well, I don't actually know how to describe it. All I know is that I like the feeling it gave me, and I want to do more of it. So, here's hoping for a bigger part next year!
Now it's back to the humdrum of everyday life. It doesn't seem so bad at the moment, and I even managed to be up on time for early shift without being too tired (which is impressive since I didn't get to sleep till 1am last night!). I guess it's because even humdrum is another change from what I was doing. I imagine the novelty will wear off pretty quickly though.
Two more thoughts:
1 - I wish my shoulder would stop hurting. I think I've pinched a nerve, or trapped a nerve, or something, but there's a nagging voice in the back of my mind that keeps whispering "RSI... RSI... RSI..."
2 - HAIRCUT!! Finally, I'll be able to shake my head, nod, turn my head, do something energetic without going blind, or at the very least, having to brush the hair out of my face. On that note - hair doesn't taste nice. I've seen kids who eat their hair. Do they rub something in it to make it taste nice or something?
