Sep. 27th, 2004 07:27 amIt was dark when I left the house this morning. That's just depressing. I should still be in bed when it is dark. However, I'm on the early shift, and to be fair, I did offer to do it for someone, so I suppose I can't complain.
Weekend was good. No, actually, it wasn't. Weekend was Superb. Actually, I'm not even sure that word does it justice! Needless to say, it was one of those weekends that I could happily relive over and over again if that were possible. Journey back to Alton on friday was fun, especially the first bit where I went on a little adventure round the back roads of Combe Down! I have no idea where I went, except that I ended up on the A36 so must have been going the right way! Completed the story line of Freelancer on Saturday morning. Now all I need to do is get a kick-ass ship and make lots of money. Rang at a wedding, wrote silly things on the blackboard in the tower, and got 7 quid for my troubles. Sweet! Then, at around 4:50, left Alton to go to Guildford to pick up
doribore and pleased myself with my rememberance of my driving lessons and of the housing estate I managed to navigate through. Ok, so I just followed the cars in front of me to see where they went, and yes, I was mildly concerned when the first car turned into a drive. I couldn't really follow it after that.......
Anyway, Saturday evening was filled with Chinese Food and Scary Movie 3. A good combination, although Dori apparently doesn't like the pancake rolls on offer at our local takeaway, so I ate hers. Too quickly. Felt ill afterwards for a short while. Mind you, this did elicit "Worried Look (tm)" from Dori, which was sweet.
Sunday morning, took Dori bellringing. I think she enjoyed herself, although all she did was sit there and watch (it being Sunday morning and time for "Sunday Best" ringing meant that there was no possibility of her even having a go unfortunately. Maybe if she appears on a friday night then I can persuade a kindly tower captain to let her pull a rope and see what it's like...). Then it was back to parent's place for Roast Chicken. Mmm.... Roast Chicken.... Haven't had a roast in ages. Then left for home. As usual, I left something behind. This time, it was my camera. Good job I don't need it for a while! I think I left my washbag in Alton too, with my toothbrush and shampoo in it. Oh well, I'll have to get some more from Mr Tesco today.
Back to work. Ho hum. *yawn*
